Extended Unemployment Benefits Not Yet Finalized: 99ers’ Hopes Going Downhill
99ers can only pray as extended unemployment benefits leave no promise up to this day. An estimated 1.2 million Americans are on the verge of losing their unemployment extension benefits as Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown continues to halt the process.
Americans who have already exhausted the means of all emergency benefits possible from Tiers I-IV are called 99ers. They are pleading to President Obama to create an Executive Order that would bring in additional benefit weeks or a Tier V.
According to Rep. Jim McDermott’s (D-Wash.) office, even if the Senate comes up with another version of extending existing unemployment benefits, Congress has the power to extend these unemployment benefits however; they would have to initially resolve first the benefit extensions of those expiring only after 26 weeks.
Although H.R. 4213 will only allow extra time to apply for extended benefits. A tier 5 emergency benefit is beyond its scope.
Given this scenario, we are expecting a backlash from hundreds of thousands of unemployed individuals who are dependent of their unemployment benefits. Let’s just wait and see what will happen in the next few days.

How many weeks, listening everyday, then on thursday or friday, hearing” It will be next week”" ??? Guess what, Sunday,July 4th, is the LAST day they have in Washington,DC. The New American Patriots are growing, and as the Patriots of the 1700′s were willing to forfiet their lives to preserve this country, so are the New American Patriots.
The Politicians in DC have harmed OUR children long enough. They have Abused Our children. They are GUILTY of Domestic Violence on a grans scale, a few million + charges of Domestic Violence. They are the Domestic Enemy, the Axis of Evil.
congress get off your ass and know how the 99ers feel, what we represent, I am a vet with little income and I did not invent this depression recession, call it what you will. I pay my taxes I vote I work when able and damn it I was a figther when needed.. who are you to dictate that we get extended benefits or not…. god you bailed out goldman you bailed out the auto industry you allowed large large bonus programs for the already rich, you are sitting there on your duffs going back and forth (debates) over and over again and forgetting about how and who got YOU to where you are today(surly not collecting unemployment checks nor depending on them to live…its time for someone in Washington to WAKE UP, american is going to hell in a hand basket and no one seems to care….. they talk about the little man regarding the Gulf oil delema what about the little man regarding no job and the unimployment getting worste instead of better!!! wAIT UNTIL THE SENATE AND CONGRESS AND PRES OMABMA SEE THE FIGURES TWO MONTHS FROM NOW…WILL BLOW EVERTHING AMERICAN HAS EVER STOOD FOR… get you s–t together guys and girls stand up for americans and the hard working person be it 99er or 29er just numbers not our future as a country with the american dream.. capitalism or socialism which one works???? at this point we are all starting to wonder if the current administration has a clue as to what is really happening to american spirit and trust in government, get rid of the political B S and the grand standing and egos and get something done that helps everyone then only then take your so needed vacations in the sun…. as a matter of fact, if nothing is done,,,,don’t come back cause we do not need your burocratic grand standing to protect your political future.. just disappear and you won’t be missed because right now the american system has had enough!!!!! JUST D O IT…. help the unemployed, we did not create it, Washington did…. FRom a very upset disabled vet with much anger over what american is becoming…(and its only just regun)….
Please help us and our families survive. We are working so hard to find a job. I was laid off from my job after 30 years of service. I would have stayed with the company until I was 65 years old.
Please help us…….this is not our fault. We want to work. We can not find jobs.

Government has allowed all of our manufacturing jobs to be outsourced and/or moved to other countries and that has impacted the United States greatly! Everyone wants to blame the companies, but if our country had restrictions, taxes and/or duties in place that would make it more en-cumbersome on US companies and other countries importing to the US; then we might not be in this shape. It is our countries responsibility to come to the aid of americans that have worked for years at one job and that job was ended due to the outsourcing of america!!! I definitely will remember our elected officials on election day! Their time will then have run out just like our unemployment!! All we ask is for the country to assist us with extending our unemployment benefits allowing us more time to find a job.
All I’m thinking is how will I get my daughter her school supplies or how can I afford to buy my kids birthday things when I can’t even pay the light or rent. What should I do if no one would hire me. I feel so bad that my kids how to live through this struggle with me!!!
My wife and I are both unemployed. We’ve been searching and searching for jobs. We have applied for many jobs, but at 59 years old, it’s not very promising. We’ve gone thru our savings, 401K and pension money.
We have no life insurance,no medical insurance, and in a week we’ll be 3 months behind in our mortgage.
Right now we have 280.00 left, haven’t paid any bills need to save that for food and gas.
We’re just depressed every day. Just don’t know what to do.
